PvP rewards
I was wondering.... if you kill other players in PvP combat will you get rewards? In other games i have played u get points based on the other characters level and those points allow you to get special skills.

I think you get XP, and an item or something like that if you can hold the Hall of Heroes. I *think*.

The Celestial Sigil is the item that lets you choose a guild hall. It costs 1000 gold but you can attain it through other means.

I remember reading in one of the articles that the server from the top guild will gain certain benefits, certain accesses to areas of the map I think, and when they get beaten by another guild, that server gets the access or access to another part of the map. I been trying to find the article. I thought it was Jeff Strain but might have been Gaile giving the interview.
*Edit* Found the link to the above described Jeff Strain interview. Last edited by Sin; Apr 12, 2005 at 12:16 AM // 00:16.. |

Do you mean the top guilds from each zone (America, Europe, Korea) compete and whichever zone wins gets access to certain cool zones? I heard that too. |

The ladder represents that competition as it is. But there are tournaments to come, is what I think he is getting at. So the PVP ladder is like a practice to getting to the Tournament level, and considering there was a korean tournament, that probably was the trial to see how well their tournament system works too. Pure speculation, don't know.
*Edit* Here is what he said in part of that interview linked above.... "When you create your account you pick a home world, like the European world, the US world, the Korean world and so on. That dictates the people you are normally surrounded by when you play the game, but at any time you can go to international districts and play with anyone you want from around the world. But the other thing that means is that when you field teams in the International PvP Tournament the home world of that team is very important. If they fight to the top of the Tournament they open up content for everyone else in their home world. We do this by having crumbling, ancient statues of the Gods in each world that open up otherwise inaccessible portals to unique areas and missions, which in turn contain unique items, skills and charmable creatures you won't find anywhere else. That only happens in the world whose team holds the top spot in the International Tournament, so obviously there are a lot of kudos attached. It gives you a reason to root for your people in the Tournament, or a reason to be extremely proud if you're in the team!" The interview was from March 31, 2005 so not so long ago, kinda helps see how this is all shaping up and coming together maybe, I mean, for the next BWE. It kind of sounds like he is talking about 1v1 PvP ... which this game doesnt have, just clarifying that...I could be wrong.
